2. The Data We Collect
We collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together follows:
Identity Data: First name, last name, username, or similar identifier.
Contact Data: Billing address, business email address, and telephone number.
Technical Data: Internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, and operating system.
Transaction Data: Details about payments to and from you and other details of products you have purchased from us. Note: We do not store full credit card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.
Subscription Data: Information about the software tools and subscriptions you track using our service, including costs, renewal dates, and usage.
3. How We Process Bank Statements & CSV Imports
A core feature of Subsight is the ability to automatically detect subscriptions by analyzing your bank statements or CSV files.
Temporary Processing: When you upload a bank statement (PDF) or a CSV file, our system scans the document solely to identify recurring software subscription payments.
Immediate Deletion: Once the analysis is complete and the subscription data has been extracted to your dashboard, the original source file (PDF or CSV) is permanently deleted from our servers. We do not retain your raw bank statements.
AI Processing: We may use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to parse and categorize transaction text. No personal banking credentials or unrelated financial history is used to train these models.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
To provide the Service: To manage your account, track your subscriptions, and display your dashboard.
To improve our Service: Using analytics to understand how users interact with our features.
To communicate with you: Sending you transactional emails (e.g., password resets, subscription alerts) or service updates.
